Xbox Account email swap

When you sign into an account with no gamertag on xbox.com or your console you will be prompt with a message "To create an Xbox profile--> New Gamertag" Most likely you accepted the terms with your new email. Next time cancel the process or do not sign
on to xbox.com or your console at all after you have created a new account. I recommend you create the account online rather than on the xbox.

Step 1) Create a new account. Do not sign into Xbox.com or the console with this account.or it will prompt you to create a new profile(gamertag).

Here is the overview after completing step 1.

• Gamertag A (Main Gamertag) is linked to Microsoft account 1 (Old Email).
  
• Gamertag B (2nd Gamertag) is linked to Microsoft account 2 (2nd Email)
  
• Microsoft account 3 is free. (new email)

Step 2) Sign on to xbox with your main account. Change the email associated with the NEW ACCOUNT

• Gamertag A (Main Gamertag) is linked to Microsoft account 3 (new Email).
  
• Gamertag B (2nd Gamertag) is linked to Microsoft account 2 (2nd Email)
  
• Microsoft account 1 is free. (old email )

You should be done at this point.

I am so sorry you are having issues with your Microsoft account,

Unfortunately, this should not work as other services should not update to your new alias.

I would contact Epic Games support about the change and see if they can change your account information with an agreement.

Just a heads-up, we’re just users like you, so we don’t work for Microsoft or have access to anyone’s accounts.

That said, I get where you’re coming from, but unfortunately, there’s not much you can do about transferring or splitting the stuff tied to your dad’s account. It’s a pain, I know, but the best workaround right now is to add a new alias and set it as your primary email. It’s not a full "swap," but it’s the closest you can get to what you’re trying to do.

For now, the only thing I can suggest is to pitch this as a feature request. I’m pretty sure someone’s already brought it up on the Feedback Hub, so check there and upvote it if you find it.

You can't delete the random tag but with the use of a third email you can swap them around.

Swap the email of the random account to a new one, then swap the email you want to the account you want.

It is a roundabout way of doing it but it is your only option.

you can't swap them, the microsoft account is the xbox account is the email, they are one in the same.
