Xbox account change without loss of history

When my son started using the Xbox a few years ago, it was all set up for him using my Microsoft account details. His gamer tag, achievements and history etc are all associated with my email address and password.

I want him to be able to use his very own email address and password now, WITHOUT losing the history/data/stats that he has worked so hard to build up.

What are my options? Can this be done?

I'm afraid that isn't possible. Game history/data/stats cannot be transferred from one account to another.

basically the microsoft account IS the xbox account so nothing can be transferred at all.

Unfortunately, the data and purchases are all associated with the email linked to his Microsoft account!

However, you can add a new email to the existing one.

Just sign in to your account by using your existing alias and password.

Sign in to your account

Go to Your info at the top of the page.
Select Manage how you sign in to Microsoft.
You might be asked to verify your account before any changes can be made. Follow the instructions that are provided to select your alias:
- Select Add email. You can create either a new Outlook.com email address or add an address that you already have. Then, select Add alias. After you’re returned to the previous screen, select Verify, and then follow the instructions that are provided.
- Or, select Add phone number. Enter the phone number that you want to use, and then select Next. When you add a new phone number, we'll send a text message to that number to verify it. Enter the code in the text message, and then select Next.

Note Email addresses and phone numbers that are already set up as an alias on another account can’t be used.

To wipe it do a full factory reset. The account will still be able to be used on the other Xbox, without any loss of data.

We bought an XboxOne console and linked it to my Hotmail Microsoft account. My children started using it before they even had an e-mail account. Now I have given one of them (the main user of the console) a Microsoft account (as part of the Microsoft
Family app), and want to use the Xbox parental supervision feature, but, since the console is associated to my account, it is not possible. I could reset the console and associate it to my child's account, but he would lose his gamertag and game history. Is
it possible to keep my account as main account for the device and add other players, plus transferring the history and gamertag to my child (or children)? Thanks in advance.
