Xbox account banned how can I get it back?

My Xbox account was hijacked and they made multiple purchases on it I did have 2FA on and have so for like 4+ years but I think they must have used my old original Xbox one console I traded in to get past this. I managed to recover and secure the account with help from Xbox Support.

After I finished securing my account I asked Xbox support to refund the purchases made on my account and they advised me that I needed to fill out a form online to get the purchase refunded. After doing so I got a generic email saying that digital content cannot be refunded under Xbox terms of service policy and I tried a couple more times but kept getting the same response.

I reached back out to support and they told me again they had no way to handle a refund and my only option was the refund form.

My default payment method was set to PayPal so I disputed the charges that they made on my account along with the evidence I had including a chat log from support and PayPal went ahead and cancelled and refunded the charges.

About a week after PayPal refunded me my account got permanently banned for fraudulent purchases. I spent hours trying to get it fixed but Xbox support and the supervisor I spoke to told me they have no way to unban my account stating it's not even possible for them to do so. I asked for a contract number or email for the Xbox enforcement team but was told there is no way for me to contact them directly in any way.

My account has been active since 2006 and I have easily spent $20,000+ on over 100s of digital games and their DLC and concurrent Xbox live since 2008 and it's just permanently gone with no way to have it unbanned.

Has anyone ever been banned and found a way to appeal or contact the enforcement team and have any advice on how to get my account unbanned as I have done nothing wrong at all and have just lost everything and Xbox don't give a shoot about it.

I was able to submit the appeal following these instructions so thank you. I'm surprised the support team didn't mention this to me.

I feel like it's an automatic Ban rather than a manual one implemented by the team. It probably doesn't take into review why the charge back occurred but rather that it just has.

Also as a general advice I didn't know before but even if you reset you Xbox you need to go into you Microsoft account and remove it otherwise if they recover you account to that console they can still make purchases from it if you haven't removed the console from you account.

Youd have to submit a case review at https://enforcement.xbox.com Thats the only possible way to have a ban/suspension lifted.

That being said it doesnt matter how a situation starts. If you respond with something that breaks the rules (which you did) then you can also be suspended.

Thats why in these situations its simply best to block them, report them and dont respond. That way they are the only ones getting banned and not you.

I am sorry to hear about what happened. This is clearly not the situation I want you to be in. I know how frustrating that must be and I would feel the same way if I were on your situation. Please be advised that Xbox Enforcement actions or suspensions are being handled only by the Xbox Enforcement Team who work offline. Here in community and even Microsoft Support won't be able to assist us regarding Xbox suspensions. As much as we would love to help, we can only do so much about it.
