Xbox Accessories app on PC dosnt work properly

Hi so my problem is this, i bought a new xbox controller, i plug it via usb to pc and downloaded the Xbox accessories app from store, i start and everything works fine, i even did the firmware update to my controller. i did a restart and i connected the controller with Bluetooth, games dost seams to recognize it and when i open Xbox accessories app it dosnt see the controller too. so i unplug the Bluetooth and connect with usb again. the app finds the controller but this time i cant open the settings. when i press the 3 dots ... (settings button) it just go white and goes back, i tried to remove the app and install it again, i also tried to clear any case of the store etc etc,every time settings dosnt work and app seams to not work properly, i tried the exact same to my gf pc and everything works fine, app controller usb Bluetooth etc. the app finds the controller even throw Bluetooth and i can open the setings with no problem.

Any ideas how i can complete remove the app and try to install it again? or i dont know i am rly not sure why the app dosnt work properly !

note: even i uninstall and install again the app it seams it dosnt even log out my account, when i start the app after fresh install it has me already log in to my account.

edit: i forgot to mention that when i press the X button on the controller nothing pops up, but when i do it on my gf's pc that seams to works fine the menu of the app opens with no problem

hey, its the Microsoft Xbox Series Controller black, i also seen the troubleshoot topics with no success,and the comments on the post are one of the first things i tried

its been 7-8 hours so far that i try to solve this problem,thanks for your answer tough

Hi, may I ask what controller you are using? The Xbox Series X controller or just a basic controller? Try checking the comments on this post to see if it would help you. I also recommend checking the Xbox support solutions. It is for the wireless controllers but it might have something that could help with this issue.

Kindly check if you can install your games using MS store app. Please press the Win + R key to open the Run dialog.

Type cmd and click OK to open Command Prompt.

In the Command Prompt window, type the following command and hit Enter to execute:

WSReset.exe

Then open the Microsoft Store, then click on the profile picture in the top right corner. A pop-up box will appear allowing you to sign out then once signed out, kindly sign in and try installing your game again.

I am experiencing the same issues as Phoxu (as well as some other connection problems using Bluetooth). But as I merely got the Elite Controller to use with

my PC I don't have access to an XBOX to downgrade the firmware. The Xbox Accessories PC App isn't functioning properly as many other users are complaining already (and as I experience it too ). The issue is that I cannot update my controller using the app (nor downgrade ) so my big question is

: Is there another way (without access to an XBOX), using a PC, to update/downgrade the XBOX Elite Controller ? I'd be happy to use the Xbox Accessories App, if it was working, but since I can't I need something else.
