Xbox 360 wired gamepad not working correctly

I'm sorry to hear your Xbox 360 controller isn't working properly on your PC. I need to ask a few questions to get more clarity on the situation.

1. When did this start to happen?
   
2. What is your Operating system?
   
3. Does it happen to every game, or just some games?
   
4. Are you using Steam, the Xbox app or downloading games from the Microsoft Store?
   

Make sure your PC is completely up to date by going to Settings > Update and Security > Windows Update > Check for updates.

Other troubleshooting tips:

If you have another laptop or PC you can try it with, check to see if it isn't something on your PC that is affecting the inputs.

Make sure you do not have other programs like these interrupting the inputs:

• Anti-virus
  
• Firewall
  
• PC Optimizers
  

When your Xbox app isn't working, you can try resetting the Xbox app to solve the problem. Here are the detailed steps.

1. Press Win + I to open Windows Setting.
   
2. Select the Apps category. Make sure Apps & features are selected in the left pane. In the right pane, input Xbox in the search box.
   
3. In the following window, select the Reset button. Then check if the Xbox works appropriately.
   

Lastly, if this started to happen recently, check if you have a restore point on your PC and restore your settings to before when the controller was working properly. Xbox 360 drivers are no longer available on the Microsoft store, so you have to search for it and download it from open source. I don't trust any if the websites enough to share a direct link.

Unfortunately, there is nothing else I can advise you on. It seems you have done all the troubleshooting, and Xbox 360 support content is no longer being maintained.

All I can suggest is upgrading to the supported Xbox Wireless controller which you can continue to update the firmware using the Xbox Accessories app. You can use it to play wirelessly via Bluetooth, or use the USB-C cable to stay wired in.

Alright to answer your questions:

1. It started to happen a week ago, just wanted to play some games

2. My OS is Windows 10, it's completely updated

3. It happens in every game

4. Again, it happens with every game, I tested it with Steam Games, Epic Games games and Ubisoft games

About the programs iterupting the input; I already tested it with both the ANti Virus and the Firewall deactivated and I don't have any PC optimizers

The Xbox app is indeed working

And finally, I've already done that and yes, it did indeed happen recently, before it worked just fine

I've tried re-calibrating it, re-intalating the driver, connecting it in different ports, I've searched the problem everywhere and it seems that no one has the same problem

when streaming xbox one to pc - the 360 gamepad connected to the pc works great (dashboard / one games / apps / 360 games / everything else).

wish the xbox one (basically a modified win10 in a console housing) could natively support "backward compatible" wired 360 gamepads when plugged in the one usb port.

sadly thats not the case in moment.

In seven of ten cases I prefer the 360 gamepad over the one game pad - but i super like the new one d-pad on the controller (personal opinion)
