Xbox 360 will only connect to one tv

    Xbox 360 will only connect to one tv


    I have an Xbox 360 that's around 7 years old. It's been hooked up to the same tv for the vast majority of that time, and when ever I try to hook it up to another tv, the tv can't detect it, I've tried different methods of hooking it up as well. Normally this would be a big deal since it stays in one room but I recently got a new TV and I don't want to have to replace my Xbox. Does anyone know what the issue is and if I can even fix it?

    See if it helps you, mate.

    Start the Xbox up by pressing the "Guide" (center) button on your controller. When the console begins to start up, hold "Y" on the controller then (while still holding "Y") pull RT, the Right Trigger. The screen should reset.

    You might want to stick with the Xbox 360 Component HD AV Cable or Xbox 360 Composite AV Cable if that`s working for you at the moment. I`m not sure, It might be the Xbox 360 HDMI Cable that has been damaged, There`s no way of really knowing until you replace
    it with another Xbox 360 HDMI Cable to check if the original one you have has been faulty,

    360 hdmi to tv optical to soundbar producing no sound. Xbox one also hooked via hdmi works fine.

    Hi, if you swap the hdmi connections over on the tv so the xbox 360 uses input 1 and the xbox one uses input 2 do you then get audio from the xbox 360 and not the xbox one ?

    Some hdmi inputs only accept the video signal and not the audio which would explain why you only get audio from whichever device is connected to the hdmi port on the tv which accepts both video and audio.

    The only way I know to fix this is to connect your Xbox to your TV using the RCA component cable that comes with your Xbox, the gray one that comes with the original xbox 360 or the black one that comes with the 360 s will also work. Once you have changed
    the setting to 60hz you can then disconnect that lead and use a hdmi lead to connect to your TV instead.

    So how are we meant to use speakers with the Xbox One?

    On a related note. Does anyone know if there's a way to get Turtle Beach PX3 connected to my tv or xbox one? On the transmitter box there's only options for ps3, xbox 360 and pc. Do you think connecting it directly to the TV in pc mode would work? cheers.
