    I have a Unifi Dream Machine and an AP-AC Pro AP hosting a single SSID that combines 5G and 2G networks. The XBox sees that as 2 separate networks, and gives a warning, and cannot connect to the SSID. Based on some advice I got in another forum, I created
    a new network that had 2 separate SSIDs for 5G and 2G and configured it to only be available on one of the APs. Well, I stopped getting the duplicate network warning, but the XBox still will not connect. It connected to the previous Netgear AP, so I know
    it's functional.

    Anyone successfully gotten an XBox 360 to work on a Unifi Wifi network?

    @taidara, I guess you haven´t read everything. The issue is visible when the Xbox is configured with different power settings. No issues with NAT or ports being closed or similar, otherwise it would be consistent always regardless of these settings. Would you agree?

    The Xbox is 3,5mts away, line in sight with the AP, within the same room. It´s connected to an Ubiquity LR (UniFi Long-Range Access Point – Ubiquiti Inc.).

    Is your AP up-to-date with latest version of firmware?

    Do you experience the same problem when having your console connected to 2,4 GHz band?

    Could you please try to explain why it is impossible to have your console wired, when the cable drop is 3,5m away from the location of your console.

    The 360 already has a LOT of aps so to see more aps on Infinity should not surprise anyone. Scroll down this page to see the constant growing list of aps on the 360. support.xbox.com/.../xbox-live-status
    Over 50-60+ aps.

    .

    I would prefer to see them focus more on gaming but those days are long gone.

    Have you hooked up your PC to the AP because this won't be an Xbox issue , as far as the Xbox is concerned it will be connected wired (to your AP), if you can get your PC working with the AP via Ethernet then the Xbox should work also

    I'm not using Station - Infrastructure mode. I don't want xbox to be connected via Ethernet to the AP or anything.

    The installation look this way:

    First stage:

    WAN wired to Netgear Router-Modem wired to Edimax AP

    Second Stage:

    Elements connected via Wi-Fi to Edimax AP:

    1) Laptop

    2) Printer

    3) PC

    4) XBOX

    Everything beside XBOX is already connected using AP wifi (SSID 2 Channel 11). A proof for that is 3 post above.

    So as summary I can get my PC working with AP via wifi and can't do the same with XBOX.
