    Xbox 360 update not verifying


    I was just playing my Xbox 360 fine yesterday and now it asks for an update. Normally fine, except for the fact that it won’t verify for whatever reason. How can I fix this? I tried reconnecting to Xbox live but it won’t work.

    Status code is 4497- 0000- 3080- 0503- 8007- 0070.

    THANK YOU SO MUCH! It finally worked once I did what you said. Thank you for helping me out. I thought I was done for since the Xbox 360 is old and it’s digital stores are closing next year.

    Remove the system update: On your console, go to Settings and select System. Then select Storage. Highlight the memory unit. On your controller, press the following series of buttons: X, LB, RB, X, LB, RB, X4. The "Delete system update" window will open

    Restart the console and download the update again: Press the Guide button on your controller. Go to Settings and select System. Then select Storage. Enter the following button sequence: X, LB, RB, X, LB, RB, X. Select the option to roll back all system updates that are installed. The console will automatically reboot and then download the updates again.

    It sounds to me that the Xbox 360 needs to be updated. If I remember correctly, this happened a few times and it was due to the Xbox / disc drive being out of date. Please verify that your Xbox 360 has the latest Xbox Live updates!
