    Xbox 360 slowdowns being caused by Xbox Live?


    I have two Xbox 360 consoles that work absolutely fine when not connected to the Xbox Live service. As soon as I connect, everything dashboard based slows to a crawl (eg. signing in). Playing games, when you can eventually get them to start is no issue.
    Once the connection is broken, the consoles work fine again.

    Any ideas?

    The framerate stays consistent on the XBox 360.

    No reason to think the ONE version should be any different.

    Which games are experiencing the frame drop?

    What settings are they configured with?

    How much of an effect do you believe is occurring say on a percentage basis?

    The emulation software isn't perfect. Some slowdowns are inevetable. Overall, though, It works well for the few games I've played (Halo, Halo 2, Crimson Skies, JSRF, Indigo Prophecy).[quote user="Templar Boe"]Open world games regularly lag on 360, try Saints

    Also, second and third generation open world titles, like Saints Row 2 and Saints Row The Third, largely resolved open world slowdown issues.
