Xbox 360 slime red light

Hi I'm an Xbox Ambassador, not employed by Xbox or Microsoft.

I'm sorry to say but from the sounds of it your 360 might be broken, this is called the Red Ring of Death when the lights that usually indicate the number of players turn red instead of their usual green. your attempt to fix the issue would only work if the issue was an overheating problem but based on where the light is red it does not indicate overheating. If the light is in quadrant 4(bottom right) it indicates a hardware issue.

This issue was one that effected a lot of 360's and it was an issue with the design of the console, although any console manufactured after 2010 is more reliable they still suffer from the Red Ring of Death just fewer cases.

Hope I'm wrong, but based on the information provided this is the only possible explanation I could come to.
