xbox 360 slim passcode removal when details not known

The only way you can reset the pass code will be online.

You must meet the following criteria to be able to reset the pass code online:

• Your Microsoft account must be an adult account.
  
• The console must be registered in your name.
  

1. Sign in to your Microsoft account and go to the Devices tab.
   
2. Locate your registered Xbox 360 console and select Show Details.
   
3. Select Manage, select Reset passcode and then follow the instructions to reset your pass code.

If it's a family passcode, then a reset will not remove it. You will need to register the console on account.microsoft.com with the main account that is used on the console, then on the same website select devices on the top of the page. Scroll down to
the Xbox 360, and select show details, then at the top left select manage - reset passcode, and follow instructions from there.

It was never known as the slim it was always the xbox 360 s 250gb now just classified as the xbox 360 250gb or whatever the hdd size is.

Are you referring to the Xbox LIVE passcode or the Parental Settings passcode? Only the LIVE passcode can be removed by recovering. The parental passcode can only be removed by either knowing the passcode or answering the secret question.
