Xbox 360 Slim not turning on but it makes eject/power button sound

Here's the xbox troubleshooting page for the 360 power supply. The original Xbox 360 power supply page does say that the support content for Xbox 360 is no longer being maintained which means that the troubleshooting steps are minimal for old consoles like the one you purchased and the Xbox 360 is no longer manufactured as of April 20, 2016.

Unfortunately, I am not a repair agent so I won't be able to help you figure out what particular part is causing the problem

Do you have the xbox 360 slim? If you do than clean the touch sencers (power button and eject button) IF you have the original xbox 360 console try taking the face plate off. You can turn the console off and on by controller .

Nope, no red lights on the console or power brick (its a 360 slim). I did the sync/eject combo and nothing happened, console did not turn on at all while held down the sync button.

the slim makes a ding noise when you power it up from the console or hit the eject button

Try a factory reset

First turn on the xbox then hold down the power button until the console shuts off

Then hold the Sync button and the eject button at the same time then tap the power button while continuing to hold the sync and eject, you'll hear 1 power up sound then a second sound, continue to hold until you hear that second power up sound

If this doesnt work your best bet is to contact the xbox live support team
