Xbox 360 s wont connect to internet how do fix it?

I have been trying to connect my Xbox 360 S to my 2.4ghz network. I noticed on my Nintendo Switch the Security is WPA2-PSK (AES). I've looked it up and apparently you can't have that specific one. Do I need plain WPA2 or what do I need? Because the Xbox wont get past the first connect test. I'm using Cox panoramic wifi Arris tg1682. (if that makes a difference) and if there are anymore settings that I would need to change so I can connect to it. Thanks.

So like how come my xbox wont connect to the internet but everything is connects to it. Plus it is saying that the connection wont work. This all started after the update yesterday. What should i do?

if its the internet explorer on the 360 it is way out of date, most sites no longer support IE and wont even allow connection a lot of the times.

this would never be fixed either.

What Xbox 360 model do you have? All the ones prior to the Xbox 360 S required the network adapter (as the consoles didn’t have built-in WiFi) for an internet connection to Xbox Live.
