The error message means your console cannot connect to Xbox Live. This means also that your Xbox profile is corrupted.

By the way, we would like to set your proper expectation ahead that Xbox 360 support content is no longer being maintained. We will be using the available resources that we had.

If we may ask, what error message did you get when you test your connection? Refer to the troubleshooting steps provided in the link below until the additional troubleshooting steps. Refer to the link below:

Lastly, you may try deleting and redownload your profile. Here are the steps:

1. Delete the profile that is stored on your Xbox Console.

• Press the Guide button on your controller.
  
• Go to Settings and select System Settings.
  
• Select Storage.
  
• Select All Devices.
  
• Select Gamer Profiles.
  
• Select the gamertag that you want to delete.
  
• Select Delete.
  
• Select Delete Profile Only. (This deletes the profile but leaves saved games and achievements.)
  

2. Clear the system cache

• Press the Guide button on your controller.
  
• Go to Settings and select System Settings.
  
• Select Storage or Memory.
  
• Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller. (It doesn't matter which storage device you select; the cache will be cleared for all storage devices.)
  
• Select Clear System Cache.
  
• When prompted to confirm storage device maintenance, select Yes.
  

3. Download your profile again.

To re-download your Xbox Live profile, follow these steps:

1. Press the Guide button on your controller.
   
2. Select Download Profile.
   
   Note If you don't see a Download Profile notification, it probably means you're signed in to a profile. Press X to sign out.
   
3. Enter the Microsoft account that's associated with your Xbox Live gamertag. If you don't know your Microsoft account or password, use the Lost Account Solution or the Lost Password Solution.
   
4. Select the storage device for your profile. Your profile will begin downloading.

I have tried a wired and wireless connection and have had no luck, to be clear, my xbox is detecting the wifi but never passes the first connection test. I can do all the tests I have before again and give a better description of the problem, this is the first time this xbox has tried to connect to my wifi, I bought it second hand and reset it afterward, after that I tried to connect to the internet with no luck at all. I have a relatively new router and motum from spectrum that is capable of 6g, 5g, and 2.4g. If possible I'd like to not have to spend money to get this working but if it is necessary then I will.
