    Xbox 360 s series 2015 - Problem with error message "unplayable content" and Video's/Games...


    Problem with a wmv format videos being unplayable. The video will start to play and shortly after an error message appears that says unplayable content. I have shut down, disconnected all connections and will work for a white but still get the error message. Sometimes while watching a video or playing a game, the system freezes. XBox 360 2015 s series Model 1439. Sometimes all I have to do is unplug one of the USB cables and the video/game will play but then I get the error message again or it freezes.     Thanks for the update. Are you not able to connect the console to any Wi-Fi network (or via cable) right now?

    You can try installing directly the latest update if you think you're not on the latest versionin that case using a USB drive and this article:

    I did check and the WMV Video Format does meet the requirements. And yes, I've tried using a different port and video format. I'm sorry, I forgot to put that we are not connected to the internet. I'm actually a parent and trying to figure this out for my young son. I'm thinking the system needs an upgrade which hasn't been done.

    Just to confirm, can you double check if the WMV video format and resolution meet the Xbox 360 requirements?

    If yes, may I know if you tried using a different USB drive?
    Or what about using a different video format?

    Also, please tell me which troubleshooting steps you have done so far to fix this

    Two notes did you convert them properly or just download from the internet

    Programs like super @ can convert to proper Xbox format or wmv

    You gotta remeneber just because it has the same extension doesnt mean it can be played

    Video format.have different codecs and you may just.have the wrong codec
