    Hi. I am trying to replace my Xbox 360 S HDD with another drive. The drive works I've tested it in a PC but it doesn't show up on my Xbox. Can you please help

    [/quote]This might be considered System Tampering (depends). What exactly do you mean by "swap" and "new" Xbox?

    If you're trying to Transfer via an External Method of an older style HDD to a new one (with the Xbox 360 S), that is System Tampering and the Console will not detect the "old" HDD.

    Power up the 360 S. Plug in just the cable. Once the cable is plugged into the 360 S, attach the old HDD.



    There have been reports that plugging the drive into the cable, then the cable into the new console, results in no console being detected. Doing it the other way, cable into the console, drive into the cable, works.

    As long as you use an official Xbox 360 S hdd in any model Xbox 360 S you are OK. It's possible that your original post was misinterpreted as promoting the use of an Xbox 360 "Classic" hdd in an S model, which a) would not be possible unless you were to
    mod the hdd module and b) if you DID mod a Classic hdd to fit in an S console you would be in breach of the TOU.



    I don't believe anyone is suggesting that using an official, unmodded, un-tampered with Xbox 360 S hdd in the hdd slot of a Xbox 360 S 4GB model would be in any way breaching the TOU.

    No as.you permanently damaged the drive

    You should've bought a external hdd or.usb drive.as 320.gigs is nothing nowadays

    You can only use it as .external .drive not.the internal.

    Since you got rid of the hidden partitions and no you cant reload the os you would have.to buy another xbox 360
