Xbox 360 s error code 4451 - 445E - 2780 - 0F00 - C000 - 0034

Bought an Xbox 360 s off of eBay, the model is the one with the 4 gb flash storage, so I bought a 250 gb internal (official Microsoft) hard drive. The console boots up, but immediately after it tries to update and then I get the error code 4451 - 445E - 2780 - 0F00 - C000 - 0034, Can’t read the update from your storage device. Please reinsert it to continue the update. I have messed around with reinserting the hard drive, trying to install from usb, to no avail. Is there anything else I can do or am I stuck with this situation?

Unfortunately, the real issue is that the console won’t go to the home menu when it turns on, it just starts trying to apply the update. Most of the solutions require being able to access the menus and settings, which I cannot get to.

Also when I turn off (not when I turn on) the console I get the solid red dot, so that doesn’t particularly bode well for me either.

I see. I am afraid that it may be a memory issue of its hardware. If that could not be fixed, you may need to have it returned/refunded.

But let's see what my other colleagues have to say regarding this matter.
