Xbox 360 S Console

The power supplies used by the original Xbox 360 consoles are not compatible with the Xbox 360 S console. The Xbox 360 S console uses only a 135-watt power supply.

Just to make sure I understand, was the old console an original white Xbox 360 console, and Elite, or an Xbox 360 S console?

We always recommend using the power supply that was designed for that style of console. For example: You can't use an Xbox 360 S power supply with an Xbox 360 E console.

So if your old Xbox 360 console is not an Xbox 360 S console, we suggest
not using the power supply from your new Xbox 360 S console with it.

You might want to stick with the Xbox 360 Component HD AV Cable or Xbox 360 Composite AV Cable if that`s working for you at the moment. I`m not sure, It might be the Xbox 360 HDMI Cable that has been damaged, There`s no way of really knowing until you replace
it with another Xbox 360 HDMI Cable to check if the original one you have has been faulty,

The Xbox 360 S 250 gigabyte (GB) console has an internal hard drive, which can be removed and replaced.

The Xbox 360 S 4 GB console has internal flash memory, which is not removable. The internal hard drive can be purchased separately.
