xbox 360 priveleges

My brother and I were trying to play fable 3 online together on xbox one's. We both had xbox 360 before and then upgraded too xbox ones and our accounts are both child accounts, when he still had the 360 my father still wouldn't let him play online so he didn't have multiplayer privileges on the 360 account. When he got the xbox one and transferred his account over some time went by and my father gave him multiplayer privileges and we played games together all the time. so we try to play fable three which is a backwards capability game and it says he doesn't have gold or multiplayer privileges. So how do I change that because we dont have an xbox 360 anymore.

Hello, Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums.

In order for both to play online clearly they must have multiplayer privileges activated.

In case you don't have them, please click here to see your privacy settings and modify online access.

As a second option, both accounts must have Xbox Live Gold.

If only one account has Xbox Live Gold, then you must put that account on the other console and make it home xbox:

I play online games with him all the time on the xbox one. When we played the xbox 360 game on the xbox one it said his xbox 360 account didn't have those privileges and I dont know how to change them because we no longer have a xbox 360.

Try clearing your cache this can be done by going to storage then press y cleary system cache.

If this doesnt work im afraid you will have to be more specific.

What error messages do you recieve?

Do you need an online pass code (I know you have xbox live gold but sometimes discs require codes which will be included if you bough the game brand new and if you bought the game second hand the code may of been used)

Did you buy this game second handed or first handed?
