  1. xbox 360 power cord for xbox resub

i've paid 60/year for 7 years for sub but my power cord died on my slim. wife put everything real nice and neat in an area where it over heated, our fault. I'd just buy a new cord but I can't think about that much money instead of going to the ps4 exclusives.
but now im done with xbox since it doesnt work. send me a power cord for re-sub? /sigh nvm just don't.

    :)

HELP. Microsoft XBOX 360 - wont power on

Sounds like your Xbox 360 power supply is going out. I'd recommend trying to narrow down if it's your power cord that is failing or you Xbox 360 that is overheating. Recommend using a different power cord and see if your Xbox still fails to power on. Best
    of luck to you!

    Rumors about using an intercooler.

By the way, it's explictly stated in the manual:

Do not connect any other devices between the XBOX 360 power supply unit and the XBOX 360 console, or between the power cord and the XBOX 360 power supply unit.

My xbox is failing to turn on

Problems with your Xbox 360 console can sometimes be solved by making sure your power supply connections are firmly connected. Try these steps in the following order:

    1. Turn off the console.
    2. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console.
    3. Unplug the power supply from the electrical outlet, and then unplug the short cord from the power supply.
    4. Plug the power cord back into the console, then plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet and the power supply.
    5. Make sure that all three power supply connections are firm.
    6. Turn on the console, and check the light on the power supply.

    Also remember that

    • The power brick like the xbox itself needs to remain in an open space, and clutter free
    • tampering with the Xbox can void the warranty as well as lead to banning.

    xbox 360 power cord issue?

    Hey there Resident Lycan!

Sorry to hear about the power issues! Let's try to get you back up and running!

Are the colors showing a solid or flashing light? If the power cord shows a solid green or orange light, that generally means the power cable is ok. If it's flashing orange, or its showing a solid red color, the Xbox 360 power supply may need to be replaced.

If the light is a solid color: See if anyone you know who has an Xbox 360 console has a power cable you can test with your console to verify if the console needs repair not.

If the light is flashing orange, or is a solid red: Leave the Xbox 360 power supply unplugged from the console and the wall for about 30 minutes. When that time passes, plug it back into a different socket and verify if the issue persists.
If the issue persists, your power supply will need to be replaced.

Once you have determined the root cause of the issue, head over to our Online Service center to begin the repair process.

Hope this helps! Post back and let us know how it goes. :)
this is my second xbox doing this, the first was an e xbox 360, now my 360 s is doing this shortly after i downloaded a game, the fan is working in the power supply, and the light is a solid orange, and it turns green when the console is turned on, and then
my console shuts back off again, but this only happens after i get on xbox live, the second time this has happened no mistake about it, at this point i can not afford an xbox one, so please stop tearing up our 360's thank you
