    I got a Microsoft Xbox 360 controller to pc wireless receiver. I looked ahead of time and found out that I need to manually install the driver for my receiver. So I go through all the instructions that people have gave, and when I try to choose the driver,
    I found out that its not on the list anymore! So I go to the Microsoft driver download website, and find out that they last supported Windows 7. Tried downloading that, but it didn't work. Anyone got any ideas?

    In device manager If you have Xbox (360 peripherals) and (Xbox peripherals) right at the bottom



    Device manager

    > Xbox 360 peripheral

    > Xbox 360 controller for windows. Right click disable. Should prompt to restart.



    > Xbox peripherals

    >Xbox One controller.







    I bought a brand-new Xbox Elite series 2 controller, which would not work with battle net.

    It was because the Xbox peripherals was conflicting with the Xbox 360 peripherals. Disabling the Xbox 360 controller in device manager.

    Fixed my issue and saved my tissues, who wants a warm milkshake?

    Hi,

    Peripherals for Xbox 360 (a hard drive is a peripheral on the 360) have no regional lock outs. Therefore, hard drives, controllers, wheels etc work on all 360 consoles, regardless of the original machine.
