Xbox 360 not responding when I click things

I have an Xbox 360 original and it worked fine up until now. I turned it on and put in battlefield hardline, it then said to sign in so I tried but when I clicked my profile it just closed the sign in menu. I then removed the game disc and tried to turn
off the console but When I clicked turn off system it wouldn't do anything . It does this for almost every button now. And now when I try to put in a disc it either says unrecognised disc or says opening but never opens it.

Maybe if I reset it completely it will work but I don't know how to do that without being able to access the settings menu. Does anyone know how to reset it without being able to click anything ?

Thanks for responding, I only have one wifi network, and when I go onto Microsoft store and try buy it, it says “join” and when I click on it, nothing happens. And no, those are the only two things I’ve tried so far.

Thanks for the preview bit and yes xbox one OK just dvd's and 360 discs. Nothing happens it's as if the disc drive doesn't respond no Werring no clicks nothing

I assuming it's a comfortability thing for you if the controller almost falls out of your hand when clicking the sticks in. The sticks on the Xbox One are more loose than the 360.

Of course anything for microsoft. In the meantime I have plenty of xbox 360 games to play.

At least I got somebody from microsoft to respond which is the main thing.
