Xbox 360 Minecraft Multiplayer - can't see each other in game?

Hi all. My nephew wants to play Minecraft multiplayer with me on his Xbox 360. We figured out the HDMI cable thing, so now we can start a split screen game and all that. But when we tried split screen we couldn't see each other like we can when we connect
to each other on pocket edition on our iPads, and stuff we destroy doesn't change on the other's screen. Is there a way to get both of us in the same world, so we can see each other and play together, rather than two initially identically worlds? I think we
were on "Creative Mode" if that makes a difference. (he says it's the mode he likes best)

My lads don't seem to be able to enter multi-player mode on Minecraft 360 version, online or disc

my lads can't play each other on the 360 version of minecraft either online or via local disc. Can't see anything obvious in settings, tried another disc, other games work, any thoughts?

How do I join a network game?

I purchased a 2nd 360 for my home so that I could play Minecraft with the kids. Them on their 360 downstairs and I on mine upstairs. Both consoles have Live Gold accounts. Both get online fine. We can see each other on Live and join parties and such
but we can't seem to be able to invite each other to a Minecraft game. the invite option is always grayed out. Can someone please help me figure out how we can get this working?

Hey,

If you're on the same console, all you have to do is start up the world with player one. Once in the world, turn on a second control pad and press start. It may require you to sign in, so either have a second account at the ready or I believe you might be
able to play as a guest. The screen should then go split screen and all be ok.

If you're playing online, then you need 2 360s and 2 copies of the game. Both members will need to have the GOLD status on their account. Make sure both accounts are on each others 'friends list' as it makes it easier to invite people in. Get the world owner
to start the game, once in press the guide button on your pad and find you friend. Select his account and you should see an option of invite to game.

I would like to know too how they would unless they made a mistake. Microsoft who manages Xbox imply you can't play a game for 360 and 1 multiplayer wise cuz 1 and 360 use different XBL servers, and Xbox 1 has different audio codec tech to 360 so how chat
and multiplayer with peps on 360 and 1 is a puzzle. It's kind of like if the Minecraft game devs said you can play with each other no matter what Xbox version you have 1 and 360.

Hi me and my dad want to play multiplayer together but can't seem to figure it out i have Xbox one s with ultimate membership and my dad has a 360 with gold membership we are friends but we can't see each other in multiplayer we have sent invites to each other but we dont get them we have been trying to play Need for Speed Rivals and Hot Pursuit we have tried several setting changes online trouble shooting for 2 days any suggestions or similar experience please help we are losing hope and beginning to think it's not possible 😥

Hey there!

Sorry to hear you are running into these issues while playing Minecraft. Is there any specific error messages that you are seeing when attempting to join each others worlds?

Go ahead and take a look at the following support link and see if this helps with connecting to your friend, see if they can do the same as well.

Do what Elvis suggested and also make sure all your drivers are up to date. Especially the Network card and your Video Card. Do not use the Device Manager to verify if the drivers are updated. Go to each Manufacturer of each device, or to your computer manufacturer.
I had Microsoft working on mine for well over 30 hours to finally figure this out.
