    I have been able to get all the way to checkout on the 360 marketplace but then the screen gets stuck on a loading circle. I’m not sure what to do from here, and I couldn’t find any answers that work.

    Did you try the file from the link, it is tailored to that specific error code.

    Read carefully about extracting the file it is vital that it is done correctly or the xbox will not see the update.

    There is a system update file you can download that should fix your update problem. From what you say it looks like the update was being applied from that cracked game disc and just failed.
