Xbox 360 Live disconnects when launching a game

Please, follow these steps:

Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and select System Settings.

Select Storage.

Highlight but don’t select a storage device, and then press the Y button on your controller for Device Options.

Note It doesn't matter which storage device you choose. This clears the cache for all storage devices.

On the Device Options screen, select Clear System Cache.

When prompted to confirm storage device maintenance, select Yes.

I recently bought Battlefield 3 from the xbox marketplace for the 360. As soon as a launch the game I am disconnected from xbox live.

When the game has launched and I select the multiplayer option, the screen goes grey and freezes. Please can you help ? thank you

As to your first suggestion, I only play these 2 games and it happens everytime I launch any one of them. Both games are installed on both consoles and the problem happens ONLY on the 360S!!

As to your second suggestion, I have port forwarding to the static IP of the 360S. I tried with enabling/disabling UPnP but in my case UPnP must be enabled or else I don't get Open NAT on the 360S. Furthermore, how can you explain why my 360 Elite works
fine and I have Open NAT always even though I have port forwarding to the 360S?

I've figured out a way not to get disconnected from live when launching a game: As soon as I switch on the 360S, I log out, switch off and on the router, perform a network test, sign in to live and launch the game. It works always but this workaround doesn't
solve the problem when I get disconnected during a game or when exiting back to the dashboard.

And I must reiterate that this problem happens only on the 360S!!

Will Live service be terminated on the 360 as soon as the 720 is launched, like with the Xbox when the 360 was launched, or will the 360 still see some Live service for a while after the 720 is launched? Also, will the 720 have backwards compatibility, and,
if so, for how far back will games in the Xbox family will the system be compatible with? Will titles on the 720 also see some release on the 360 for a while, or, once the system launches, will all 720 titles be 720 exclusives? Finally, if I had a Live account
on my 360 when I purchased my 720, can I transfer my Live account from the 360 to the 720, as well as any purchases I made on the Live marketplace when I had the 360?

What happens when you put the disk in, disconnect from live, and try to launch it?
