Xbox 360 License transfer no longer works

Dear Xbox

Recently picked up a 360 as I have many xbla games, dlc, and delisted games so I thought il purchase the 360 E, download all my content and do a license transfer so that all my games will be kept safe considering most will not be available on the one or series x, now it seems this service no longer exists, that and if you look into your purchase history the games don't show up only xbox one games, this is extremely frustrating to say the least, I've got content going way back to when the 360 was released and now all that has disappeared when looking at the purchase history on Xbox website, any help regarding this? Is it just me or are others experiencing this issue? A fare few hundred pounds just wiped off my account, I can still redownload my content via the download history but I need to be online for them to be playable and not show up as trial games! But if the service stops for the 360 which in time it will happen all my content will be lost forever...HELP

With the xbox 360 the game licenses went with the consoles themselves not with the accounts like on the one systems and games.

The thing is this with the 360s if you got a new 360 and license transferred your games to that one then the license on the 360 that you sold would no longer be valid because you at that point would have transferred the license for the games to the new console

That's inevitable I think, but i cant understand why they have removed this option, that's why I hate digital media, basically all my content I've purchased along with games like outrun online arcade, tmnt, double dragon etc will just show up as trial games so Microsoft have had my money but will not provide my goods I payed for! 😡 2 days the support team said they would get back to me that was last week, and not only that but they can only find purchased items going back to 2013 ive had my account from day 1 of using it with Xbox 360 which was like 2007ish

Snap, I just tried to do a licence transfer to preserve my digital xbox 360 games and I get the error as its no longer supported. :/ These games that are not xbox one/series x backwards compatable are going to be gone forever once my original white xbox dies. The dvd drive is dead already. No warnign was given that licence transfers were going to be removed. whats next? a silent removal of the 360 servers.

Yes i know the option for the license transfer is still within the user interface but it doesn't work, alot of people are complaining about this, you can't do a license transfer, not even the migration tool which it tells you to use with a link supplied doesn't exist anymore, Microsoft support haven't got a clue either, all my downloads are available including delisted xbla games, but without the license transfer then it's impossible to use offline, especially if and when the 360 servers disappear for good which is inevitable! 👍

The license transfer still exists. It's in Settings under Account.

The purchase history on the website was removed a while ago. You would have to use your download history on the 360 console to view all of the content you have.

Sign in to Xbox Live on your console using the gamertag you used when you purchased the content.
Go to settings and select Account.
Select Download History.
Browse your download history and find the item you want to download again.
Select the item, and then select Download Again.
