I've had this issue for the past few years and I never really did anything about it since I already had a few games downloaded that I liked playing. I want to play my other games again but I can't do it because of this issue. I have tried looking for a fix
but I simply can't find anything that can really help me at all. I don't have a lot of money and even if Xbox 360s are cheep, I can't really afored to get another one at the moment.

The Issue that I have is an Update issue:

I get this all the time without fail and the strangest thing is that before, the status code would be deferent everytime I would try to update my console. I did format the Hard drive and internal memory, after the format the status code has been the same,
so maybe the format had something to do with it.

My console is pretty old too, I think I got it back in 2009-2010 or so. The system has seen better days to be honest. the whole shell is pretty much broken and it doesn't have a disc drive, I had to remove it since games would get stuck inside it, and it
wouldn't read any games anyway so I decided to stick with digital. I don't think the update issue has to do with my console not having a disc drive but I'm not ruling out the possibility of it being because of that.

The console isn't modded nore has it ever been modded. The shell rotted away and no matter how gentle I was at the time of it's yearly spring cleaning, bits and pices would chip off until there really wasn't anything left of the shell. It still works like
a normal Xbox, just that one update issue persist and it won't allow me to really do anything at all. The console was like this before and it did run perfectly fine until the update issue happened.

I formatted the hard drive and the internal memory so I did lose all the games I had, I thought that maybe doing that would help but the issue is still there even after the format. Any insite on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Exact same problem!

Same "40A3-416B-1380-267F-C000-0185" error code with "can't process the update" message after attempting April 1 2014 update on 360S. When I try a USB flash drive (FAT32 formatted with update in root) getting "40A3-416B-1600-267F-C000-0185" with "can't process
the update".

I also can't format internal 4GB memory, showing unformatted and will not format no matter how many times I try. Memory was working fine before update attempt.

I also can not connect to Xbox Live, never had an issue signing before the update attempt.

Maybe the update can't be processed without being signed into Xbox live, but I can't sign into Xbox Live without the update ?

I have Xbox 360 S with 4G flash drive and getting similar problem. It is showing 150 MB left on flash memory but there are several corrupted files, one is 900mb game demo and smaller ones under Youtube. I deleted all corrupted files and tried to update using
live but still get the same error code. It's slightly different than yours, 4467 0000 3080 0300 D000 0185. Then I downloaded the upgrade from the link https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-360/console/system-updates-info and
tried to upgrade from USB drive. Then I got the exact same error as yours 4467 0000 3000 0800 D000 0185.

The error code help page https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-360/errors/error-code-d000-0185 suggest to remove external and internal hard drive. This unit does not have any,
it just have an internal flash drive (chip) which I don't think can be removed (haven't tired opening the xbox). I wish Xbox has better help with these error code. There is a youtube video where it's suggested convert 2nd group of 4 digit hex codes in to
decimal and then google for xbox upgrade with that converted number. In our case it 2nd group is 0000 so I guess that trick would not work.
