    Xbox 360 Guitar Hero compatibility?


    Hi. I've got Guitar Hero World tour along with 2 guitars, drum kit and microphone with the Xbox 360. Haven't played it in years but I've recently gotten interested again to play with friends and noticed there's a whole load of other Guitar Hero games. Does anyone know which one of the following games work with the existing controllers above:

    • GH 5
    • GH Warriors of rock
    • GH Live
    • GH Aerosmith
    • GH Metallica
    • GH Van Halen
    • GH Smash hits
    • Band hero
    I can get most of the games above for fairly cheap and I'm not keen on buying any more controllers/hardware so only interested in the games that'll just work with what I've got.

    Any of the above that are definitely worth playing or definitely worth skipping?

    No it won't work.

    If you have older Xbox 360 instruments, there is a Rockband adapter where you can connect older Xbox 360 wireless instruments through that adapter.

    But since the Guitar Hero Live controller has 3 pairs of "white/black" buttons instead of the five colored buttons, the Guitar Hero Live guitar is not compatible with Rockband 4. Please check

    Hi I'm sorry but the guitars must be compatible with 360 not if you use a PS2 product on Xbox I'm sorry. The backward compatibility of Guitar Hero is not there, since lately they are no longer successful,
    I would recommend you buy an Xbox One game since you can use a real guitar.

    Microsoft confirmed just before the backward compatibility started that games that required peripherals such as Rock Band, Lips, DJ Hero, Guitar Hero would not be backward compatible as the peripherals were not compatible with the Xbox One.

    You can use the Xbox 360 wireless instruments on the Xbox One using the Rock Band 4 adapter, but only for Rock Band 4
