Xbox 360 Games

First, I would like to apologize if this has been beaten to death, but I have tried googling it with no real luck. I was thinking of re buying my 360 to be able to go back and play some of the older games i own(all of the games I own are digital). I read
they are discontinuing xbox live for 360 in 2016. Does this mean I will lose the ability to download the games I bought in 2016? I know they just upped the external capacity to 2TB so I will store all my games on there....but if something happens is that it
for access to my games? Or are they just discontinuing access to the matchmaking part of xbox live and we will still be able to use the store? I am just afraid I made the wrong decision going digital with my games. Thanks for any responses!

EA Titles RRP is £54.99

It looks like these prices are basically the same as the xbox 360

Looking at Blockbuster - they list most games with an RRP of £49.99. EA games have an RRP of £54.99

Hi, there has been no actual confirmation when the xbox 360 support will end, it's all hearsay. I'm sure when the announcement does happen, Microsoft will give you all the info you need to make sure your games continue to work after Xbox 360 support ends.

No. There have been no official announcements as to when Live will end for the 360.

Of course, Microsoft has been known to even officially announce things, and then not doing what they said they were going to do.

 

When they say they are supporting the 360 for at least 3 more years they are referring to making new Xbox 360 consoles and games for those consoles. They are only talking about production. They are not going to release new consoles and games in 2015 only
to shut down Live for them a year later. That would make no sense. Who would think that?

 

It would be nice if they could find a way to use there cloud streaming service, which I think was called azure?, to make it so we could have access to the 360 store and play all the games we purchased. Also to purchase new 360 games digitally!

 

Long story short don't believe what everyone is saying on 360 being shut down till Microsoft them self say it.

 

Trust nothing you read unless it was officially endorsed by Microsoft.

Personally I foresee the x360 servers will still be around for another 3 years - Based on the previous console cycle.
