Xbox 360 Games to Xbox One Games

Honestly the way i see it those who own an Xbox 360 title that has a next gen version, people should be able to get them for free instead of having to buy it again for $60, it's really a straight
up rip off, if Xbox or Microsoft did this i guarantee , most likely there console sells would increase.

EA Titles RRP is £54.99

It looks like these prices are basically the same as the xbox 360

Looking at Blockbuster - they list most games with an RRP of £49.99. EA games have an RRP of £54.99

I have played the a game to death both on the 360 and the Xbox one. One of my all time favourite games.

The main reason 360 games are having xbox one versions made & released is to make extra money so giving them away for free would defeat the purpose.

besides the remakes mostly come will all the dlc, sometimes extra's and it is licenced to a different console so the publishers will obviously charge.

There are development and marketing costs to publishers when it comes to porting and releasing video games, lol, they're not just burning old games to new discs, or just transferring old, last gen content to a new platform, with all its severely gimped draw
distances, lack of anti-aliasing, and low resolution textures.

Also, you're not 'buying it again' when it comes to these games. You're buying a new, better version for a new platform. A totally different product. If you bought a multiplatform 360 game last-gen, you didn't get the PS3 and PC versions of the same game,
for free, did you?

If Destiny is ported to the PS7 in fifty years... you won't get it free if you already bought Destiny for the PS4.

People who bought Gears of war shouldn't get gears of war UE for free, the very different. Some games have done discounts though. I think CoD Advanced warfare did it where you'd get a next gen copy for half the price.

If you don't want to buy the games on the One simply keep the 360 and play your 360 version.

I'm doubt too that Xbox One BC will support all Xbox 360 games, so just keep your Xbox 360 for Xbox 360 games and use your Xbox One for Xbox One games.

Where did the Xbox 360 games come from? Another Xbox 360?

If they were downloaded via an Xbox One/Series console you can't play these games on an Xbox 360. Firstly the drive wouldn't be configured for an Xbox 360. Secondly, Xbox 360 games downloaded via an Xbox One or Series X|S are actually 360 games that have been converted to run on an Xbox One, they are no longer native Xbox 360 games.

You will need to buy Xbox One games, as the Xbox One is not backwards compatible. Xbox 360 games will not work on the Xbox One, and Xbox One games will not work on the 360. Sorry!

An Xbox 360 game will always be an Xbox 360 game whether it is played on the Xbox 360 or an Xbox One through backward compatibility, same with original Xbox games. They were developed to play on one console. It's only through the magic of back compat they
play on the One. They are still Xbox 360 and original Xbox games to me.
