Xbox 360 Games not able to be downloaded on Xbox One

This has been a very serious issue ever since Microsoft first introduced backwards compatibility, and yet nothing has been done to try and fix it. The issue is that child accounts, even child accounts OVER the age of 15, cannot download any backwards compatible
titles. This means that the Xbox's main demographic is restricted from playing backwards compatible titles, all because they put in the correct date of birth when first creating their account. I tried to resolve this issue by changing my accounts date of birth,
as well as deleting the unused parent account that was connected to my main account, but it seems that neither of these methods work. The only two ways of being able to download Xbox 360 Games, onto the Xbox One, is through actually purchasing an Xbox 360.
This also means that for 360 Games With Gold to be purchased on the Xbox One, it requires the parent account to have Xbox Live Gold. This is a very frustrating issue, especially since Microsoft has allowed us to see the current 360 Games with Gold available
on the Xbox Homepage, knowing full well that a large amount of players can't even download this game they're being told is "available to all Gold members" and is "free of charge". This whole experience is making me wonder whether the Xbox Backwards Compatibility
program has been more of a punishment for teenage players rather than a reward.

Alan Wake issue

Hello Emperor,

For some Xbox 360 codes, when redeemed on Xbox One, the game can only be downloaded on Xbox One and not on an Xbox 360 console. I'm not entirely sure why, but redeeming on the Xbox One means that it does not show up in your Xbox 360 download history so the
older console does not recognise that you own, and can thus download, the game.

You'll still be able to download and play the game on Xbox One.

I hope this clarifies things.

I have Madden 16 downloaded on the 360, will be able to play this game on the Xbox one if end up buying one? Thanks

 

Well it's a legal issue

If you want xbox 360 games with gold you need to comply with the rules of the marketplace

One of them . is parental.settings

Xbox one parental settings don't apply to 360 games because there is no unrestricted setting and no you cannot change the age of an account once set

Your only options are use a parental account or use an xbox 360 to download it

In order to get any content the users must follow the terms and conditions set by the xbox live
