Xbox 360 games dropping frames (please respond)

So recently I've noticed my Xbox 360 games dropping frames ever since a recent Destiny update. The only games I've noticed this happening in are: Dead Space 2, Destiny, and COD Advanced Warfare. It's not a lot but it's noticeable. My game will freeze for
a split second and then resume normally. Can someone help me? Any ideas other then getting my Xbox repaired because I don't think that's the issue.

So many people are complaining about the lagging or frame rate dropping issues on 360 games, Will this ever be fixed?!?!

I'm not experiencing a frame rate drop. Are you using a disc? Is the game installed?

Can you try clearing the cache of the console and then restart it to see if that solves the issue? You can clear the cache by heading to Settings>System>Storage then highlight the storage location and press Y.

 

I've done all of this. I'm using a disc and the games are installed. None of them have big scratches and they work fine.

 

Thanks for the info. Which console are you using (FAT, S or E)? What size is your hard drive? Is it an official or 3rd party drive?

 

If you're running out of room on your 360, then you can experience these drops. Try freeing up some space on your HDD.

 

It's a slim with a 250 GB hard drive. I'm running out of space. But I've had a small amount of space for a long time and it's never effected it. I guess since it's been like that for a long time it's starting to wear it down causing it to lag.

 

Games like Destiny use Cache-- if there's insufficient cache then the games lag. Although, I've noticed this myself in some titles and I haven't had any updates. I have a feeling it has something to do with Xbox Live being broken :S

 

I cleared up a lot of space and I still have the problem. Oh well, probably dust or something. Because there is nothing in the Xbox that I can think of to cause it to drop frames. I install my games so I don't think it's my disc drive. My hardrive is fine.
