    Xbox 360 gamer profile required?


    Hi, I've had my XB1 for a little over a year. And never had a 360 gamer profile. I am now trying to play fightnight backwards compatible 360 via the ea play/game pass. I am unable to save as i get the following message.

    "You must have a gamer profile signed in if you wish to save, load, or delete any progress. Please use the Xbox Guide to sign in." With options to retry whixh just loops me to the message. Or continue without saving , which i want to save.

    I am admittedly behind on knowledge on what i need to do from here.

    I never had a 360 gamer profile. What xbox guide am i suppose to use? I am already signed in to my xbox live account.

    that's a really good question.. I've always had a 360 mainly for GTA 5 and I got an Xbox one I play backward compatible games and It's fine but that's a tough question most people might not be able to answer. You might have to wait for a Microsoft agent or someone who has the same problem and fixed it.

    The 360s had what were called offline profiles.

    These are profiles that do not require a MS account these were only available on the 360 on the One they require xbox profiles with MS accounts.

    If you never got with the 360 and never set your 360 profile up with a MS account then here is a support article that will instruct you in how to turn the offline profile into an online profile.

    go to my account on xbox.com and then go to manage devices then you go to (see 360 profile protection) then you go and press Require Profile Download on the Xbox 360 consoles that don't require your password at sign-in and the download your profile
