xbox 360 free games on gold

Hi, I live in Australia and have a live account, i have noticed the last 2 times (at least) that the free games have not been available for me to download, they dont even appear

I get the xbox one games coming up, i looked on the major nelson site and the free games for May for the 360, Grid 2 and Peggle havent shown, in fact i am logged into my console right at this minute and not a sign of Peggle and definitely there was no Grid
2 earlier in the month, the last game i downloaded for free was Borderlands (what a great game)

As my membership expires shortly i am now wondering whether to renew if the free games arent going to be there, quite an important thing for me

You could invest in a external hard drive, then sign in and download the FREE games w gold on any device each month... No matter if you ditch the 360, (GWG 360 games are yours now for free forever on X1 or 360, regaurdless of gold membership, plus two more
X1 free games) their all still free on your Xbox One...

Are you just not seeing an ad, or are you not able to find them if you search for them as well?

Even if it doesn't show on the console, have you tried downloading them from xbox.com?

 

I havent tried searching for them, they always used to appear in the Gold section on the homepage when you log into the console, now its all just the xbone games and yeh no 360 games

When i logged in to post this thread i had a look around the site and found i can set up the downloads from xbox.com which i will do from here on in if i have to, just used to be so much better when i could check them out from the console, seems a bit odd
that they arent showing up now

Hey, magpiez35! I'm sorry to see that the Xbox 360 games aren't showing up on your console for the Games with Gold. They do appear on the site
Games with Gold page for Australia. Could you please post back with some screenshots of what you see on your console? You will need to upload them to a file sharing site of your choice
and then post the link to them on here (a video showing all the screens would be good, too!). From there, we'll be able to dig into what's going on with your situation.

 

Hi, yeh if i get some time over the weekend i will try and do as you asked, but basically its as i mentioned earlier, if i go into the Gold section the free 360 games havent been there.

Just looking at it now and the 2 xbox one games that are free for May, Costume quest 2 and Defence Grid 2 are there, in the 3rd spot which would normally have the 360 game is the game Sunset Overdrive, which is also a downloadable for xbone game, so i guess
that stands out as a bit of an anomaly as you would think Peggle would be in that spot

 

Hi, i couldnt get the upload to work, i could possibly send the file to an email addy

This month the game super meat boy is there but when i click on the panel it comes up as an xbox one download not a 360 one, the other 2 games that show up are Goat Simulator for the xbone and once again Sunset Overdrive, seems like sunset overdrive is
a permanent fixture, but again the issue is no games for xbox 360 download onj the console, which goes against what xbox is offering ...... could someone please fix this

When you select the Xbox 360 Games with Gold on your Xbox One console, they will appear on the Xbox Store but that does not mean it won't be an Xbox 360 game. Selecting 'Show price' and then proceeding to "buy" the game (in these cases you'll be "paying"
$0.00) will add the license to your account.

Have you tried downloading these games from the
Xbox Games with Gold page on Xbox.com instead of your Xbox One console? Are you recieving any errors when you attempt?

Lastly, we recommend that you try uploading any screenshots to OneDrive so you can link us to the picture in this thread. Thanks!

 

Hi and thanks for your reply, i probably wasnt clear , i own a 360 and not a xbone, i did try downloading the games that were meant for 360 but i could only play them as a xbone game and not having a xb1 it was useless

However having looked it at it this weekend it looks as though the issue has been rectified, the game xcom is now available to be downloaded as a 360 game and is playable for me, in short the page looks as it should be, the right games are there, there is
no sunset overdrive anymore lol

I am not sure what has been happening these last few months but it looks like it has been fixed
