    Xbox 360 error code 801540A9 when playing 360 games on Xbox one


    I was trying to play Skate 3 on the Xbox one original and I put in my email and an app password to log in but keep getting the error code mentioned in the title. I've seen that a reason for this is that it's a child account having trouble with using an adult account but my account or something along those lines. ( my account is under 18 and only lets me play T rated and below) my account is the only account on the Xbox and I don't have parental controls set up. Is there a way to solve this without setting up parental controls? and the error message I get tells me the credentials are invalid or something.

    I'm sorry to hear this is happening. We'll be glad to assist you further with this, I do have a question I would like to clarify. Since you're attempting to play this game on the Xbox One and it's asking you to sign in to your 360 profile, do you attempt
    to download a complete different profile from the one you're signed in to the Xbox one? Reason I ask this is a common thing that happens when It prompts to have you download the profile on what appears to be the '360 dashboard' on the Xbox one you just need
    to re-download the profile you have/ are signed in on the Xbox One.

    Now, if you're trying to sign in and it is the same account for Xbox one and the 360 and it's prompting you this error code then this troubleshooting article may help further

    Thanks for trying to help out unfortunately when I went into the settings it was already added, also I think I forgot to mention, but the code 801540A9 showed up when I tried to download the account to my Xbox 360, as well as when I tried to play Xbox
    360 games that I have, while playing on Xbox one, if you want, I can upload pictures if that will help out
