Xbox 360 E (winchester motherboard) false overheating.

So, i have a old Xbox 360 E, where, at some point, just stopped working. So I bought a new video game. Years later, i decided to fix it. So i replaced some stuff and tried it. But then when i plug hdmi cord it goes red ring, the fan goes crazy and it just shuts off. I already asked someone i don't remember the name, i think it Coursen or something like this… anyway. He said i have to unplug de NIC (network card), and see what happens. I tried and the xbox gave me a message that it was overheating and then shut off again. So i researched and found that it could be some resistors… but im scared i can break something on the board. Please someone help. (If you can, without saying complicated stuff like “bridge this” or etc. i dont know much “tech terms”.) also, the board is freezing when it tells me its “overheating”.

I took the console apart and cleaned out dust from the heat sink, that's all I did. Would that void the warranty?

That means you have the "Red Ring of Death". Your 360 has overheated and the motherboard is fried. If it is under warranty you can send it in and have it replaced with a reconditioned 360. If it's not under warranty, you could still send it in, but it would
