Xbox 360 Slim turns on but with no video.

I have a 4gb Xbox 360 E/Super Slim and it was working fine. And I left it in the living room for awhile and I wanted to play some old 360 games and it didn't output any video and my controllers won't even connect to it

- I have tried unplugging EVERYTHING, including my TV, cables to the 360, etc., still to no avail.

- I've tried resetting the console display settings in hopes of fixing the problem, but my console never reset itself.

I'm at a loss here and would appreciate some help if anyone has any

You said the Av out was not on Xbox 360 E when it was. AV out is component (Yellow White and Red) Which it does support.

The Xbox 360 E AV out port does not support HD component (Blue Green Red and White Red) out Only

Only standard AV out and HDMI will output video on the Xbox 360 E

I had a question as well about the 360 E and audio. I am going to run HDMI into my TV for video, but I want to run audio out of my Yamaha AV receiver. It says on support site to sun a stereo cable out from your tv to the av box.

Well my TV has an optical audio out that I can go to optical audio on my AV receiver, shouldn't I be able to get digital audio this way out of my 360 E

What setup do you use to get sound from the Xbox 360?

Which model of the Xbox 360 do you have? The original (fat) Xbox 360? The "Slim" model, or the E model that looks like the original Xbox One?

Is the console connected via HDMI? Are you using an external AV receiver or soundbar for sound? Or are you using an AV cable and analogue or optical cables for sound?

In the console settings, what sound format have you set? Stereo, Dolby Digital or Windows Media?

Hey GamersCircle360! As the Xbox 360 cannot output for two different cables, the AV port and HDMI port are spaced close together to prevent you from plugging in both an AV lead and a HDMI lead. In order to get Red/White phono audio while using HDMI you will
need to get a Xbox 360 RCA Audio Cable such as this one:
