Xbox 360 discs do not launch on my Xbox One.

I'm trying to play Halo Wars on my Xbox One, however the system does not even acknowledge that it's been inserted. I put the disc in, the console makes a few noises, then nothing. Nothing appears on my dashboard, my download queue or list of games anywhere.
It seems like as far as the console is concerned, there isn't anything in the disc tray.

I've tried hard resetting my console, unplugging it, disconnecting it from the internet and every thing that I've found on the internet. Nothing works. All my Xbox One games run perfectly, as do my blu ray movies.

This happened when I tried to use my Halo Reach disc a few months back, I assumed that my disc was damaged and bought a digital copy. But now Halo Wars isn't reading either and I know for a fact that it's not damaged. I'm very frustrated.

xbox one games do not read but other discs do

xbox one discs do not read on my console and produces a notice saying to clean my discs despite there beimng nothing wrong with them and some are brand new. the strange thing is that it is only xbox one discs. dvds and xbox 360 games do work. what do I have
to do to get my xbox one games working again?

 

Blu-Ray Playback Bad for Xbox One Laser?

I have a launch one and my drive is giving me massive problems. Just like my original Xbox and my 360.

Honestly Microsoft it’s emberrasing that every Xbox console has had disc drive issues.

If you have, have you tried taking your console Offline? This does not mean just disconnecting the wireless or wired connection. Take a

My console is up to date and I tried inserting the disc while offline, it still has the same issue.

 

I also seem to have this problem, additionally since attempting to play Halo Reach on my XboxOne I have encountered problems playing other discs (inc official XOne ones).

I have managed to play several backwards compat' titles digitally, but absolutely zero success with any confirmed 360 discs.

Has anyone any suggestions? What is confounding is that some XOne discs will now work, whilst others will not! When not working the disc drive makes weird noises and a 'restart this app or insert a relevant disc' message appears. This led me to think it
was a hardware issue with the drive, but then some titles do work.!?!

Any suggestions welcome, I have tried a few obvious fix attempts but would be glad to hear any suggestions before setting my console on fire, put it in the microwave or drop it in gravity.

 

Sounds like a hardware issue with the disc drive. Since Xbox 360 games are on DVD does a regular movie DVD work on your console? If not I would suspect fault with the laser on the disc drive.

 

Okay I just tried using a movie DVD, it has the exact same issue. So it's not the disc that's the problem, it's my Xbox. That's even worse, wow.
