XBOX 360 controller (wired) stopped working with 1 game

Hello! I`ve been using my XBOX 360 controller (wired) for PC since 2013, and I didn`t have any issues until now. I`ve been playing a game called NIOH: Complete Edition for more than 80+ hours and just now I`ve noticed I can`t use my gamepad properly anymore.
It either doesn`t connect whilst it is connected and running perfectly, or stops being recognized by the game after being idle for 5+ mins when in game.

I talked to game devs regarding that and they advised re-installing drivers or disconnect different overlays. I tried all that, even re-installed the game but it didn`t solve the case.

And today I`ve noticed this - green light sections on Xbox guide button. There are 4 of them and one is constantly lit when gamepad connected. Now when I log back to the game the section 1 is lit (upper left section), the game runs perefectly. However, when
changed (not me, it changes automatically somehow), it stops working (changed to sections 2 or 3, never seen section 4 being activated). Keep in mind that all other games run perfectly despite what section is active, but not Nioh. The saddest thing about that
is I couldn`t find any pieces of infromation regarding these sections.

So, as you see, I`ve got a connection issue. Or drivers problem, I don`t know. Visually, the wire is OK, I see no flaws in it. The last thing tro say is when I take the wire and move somewhere else I hear this connection/disconnection sound when you put
in/out your devices in USD port. I tried different ports as well but it didn`t help. Again, it doesn`t matter which sections is lit, other games run perfectly, but Nioh demands controller to be in that section 1 only, and I can`t change it manually.

I really hope that someone can help me with this thing.

Sorry, mate, but that was the first thing I checked. And no, this didn`t help at all.

1. No info has been given on when support will stop.

2. red Ring of Death only affected the older model Xbox 360's it just overheated and stopped working.

3. You have to be the owner of the game to be able to play it, or some one can do a license transfer on your console, then you can play their games.

4. yes a xbox 360 controller can be connected to a pc or laptop to play games, but you need the xbox 360 wireless controller adapter for windows if the controller is wireless. If it is a wired controller, you just need to plug it in.

Sounds super odd. Do you possibly have a different controller you can test? That would help narrow this down to being a controller or console issue.

Yes I have tried with other Controllers over the weekend. I have an old malfunctioning Wired Xbox 360 Controller (not Controller for Windows, malfunction is due to the LB button that does not work properly), which works as expected, meaning it signs in and
allows me to play with 3 players (1 Wireless, 1 Wired Xbox, 1 Wired Xbox for Windows). However with the wired Xbox 360 Controller for Windows (1 wireless + 2 wired Xbox for Windows), it has the problems I mentioned earlier.

Is it a wired controller?

For 360 controllers to work on PC without any additional hardware, they must be wired. The 360 play and charge for wireless controllers
won't turn a wireless controller into a wired one. The reason is simply because the play and charge can not send data, it only provides power.

So... not even Microsoft's own controllers are supported? I find this quite ridiculous. What about the Elite 1 or 2? Are those supported?
