Xbox 360 controller power problem

The contacts r in place and clean

Have you looked a the contacts?

If they are caroded they won't work

And there is no o warranty and you will be lucky to find a controller nowadays

After a quick search online, it sounds like you need a new power block.

You could test this by borrowing one off a mate and if it fixes the problem its your power block.

Regarding controllers, the power block should not be stopping the controller from syncing with your 360.

What particular problem are you having? For instance, does the controller power on or is it only having problems connecting to the Xbox 360 console itself?

If it isn't powering on, try checking the batteries they might need to be replaced, if you are using a battery pack, or just give it a charge with a charge cable, if you are using that instead.

If you are trying to connect it to the xbox, make sure you are using the sync buttons on the controller and the Xbox 360 console. Be sure sure to press the center silver xbox guide button to power it on and then press the sync button above it on the top
side of the controller. Right after doing so press the sync button on the Xbox 360 console. It will be on front face of the console.

Hope this helps if it isn't powering on at all it might be a hardware issue.

Try the following steps:

• With the controller on, remove the battery or battery pack. Press the power button on the controller.

• Turn off your Xbox Console by holding the main Power button on the front of the console.

• Unplug your Xbox 360, and press the Power button

• Plug your Xbox 360 back in, turn it on, and try using the controller again.

If you're still having issues, try to
sync your controller to your Xbox 360 console again.
