XBOX 360 connection to xbox live

Well I hope someone can help me because my xbox 360 will not connect to xbox live it will connect to wifi box and internet but not xbox live if you have any suggestions please contact me as soon as possible. THANK YOU for reading

Anyone else unable to sign into xbox live when playing the 360 games?

When pressing both the Menu and View buttons to bring up the mini guide it just says connect to xbox live.
