Xbox 360 cant connect to internet or install system updates

I know you're having issues with Xbox 360 devices not being able to connect to the network and update, and I understand how you feel.

Understanding your current situation, you can try to use your mobile phone to open a hotspot to connect to the Xbox device to see if it can be connected normally.

Then I learned that you can connect to the Internet normally when using a wired connection. Please try the following steps to see if you can log in to Xbox Live and perform updates after ensuring a wired connection:

Modify NDS to strengthen the connection with Microsoft servers:

Find "Settings" - "General" - "Network Settings" - "Advanced Settings" - "DNS" on the Xbox console Settings" - "MANUAL", set "Primary DNS" to: 8.8.8.8, "Secondary DNS" to "8.8.4.4"

Change the Xbox console port:

In the Xbox console, find "Settings" - "General" - "Network Settings" - "Advanced Settings" - "Alternate Port Selection", change the selection to manual, use another port and restart the Xbox console, and see if you can connect normally after restarting.

On the Xbox 360
this is now possible after one of the last System updates. The Xbox One can NOT do that currently.

In order to use that function, your console must already be updated to the latest version AND have the most updated Internet Explorer app installed. So you might have to connect the Xbox 360 to a "normal" network first and let it update it's system and Internet
Explorer app.

If the console and Internet Explorer are up to date, you can do a network test in the system settings, and the console will redirect you to the Internet Explorer app, where you then can sign in.

As a workaround on the Xbox One, connect your PC to the network properly. After the PC is signed in, make a note of the PC's MAC address of the network adapter that is used to connect to the network.

In the advanced network settings of the Xbox one, copy the MAC address of the PC to the Xbox One, and it should also be able to connect.

To update your Xbox 360, you will need to do the following:

Connect your Xbox 360 to the Internet: Make sure that your Xbox 360 is connected to the Internet. You can do this by connecting an Ethernet cable to the back of the console, or by setting up a wireless connection.

Check for updates: Go to the Xbox Dashboard and select "System Settings." From there, select "Console Settings," and then select "System Info." If there is an update available, it will be listed under "System Update."

Clear space on your Xbox 360: If you receive an error message saying that you need to clear space on your Xbox 360, you will need to delete some content to make room for the update. You can do this by going to the Xbox Dashboard, selecting "System Settings," and then selecting "Memory." From there, you can select the content that you want to delete and select "Delete."

Download the update: Once you have made enough room for the update, go back to "System Settings" and select "Console Settings," and then select "System Update." Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the update.

Hey mate, Kinect games might not play properly if your console software is not up to date. You don't have to connect the Xbox to the internet for the update although it is the most convenient way.
