    Xbox 360 and Panasonic Viera TV HDMI issues


    I am trying to plug my Xbox 360 into a Panasonic Viera Plasma TV that I had used it with in the past. However, there is no picture or sound. Have confirmed:

    • All HDMI slots on the TV are working (they work with other devices fine)
    • The Xbox HDMI slot is working fine (plugs into other TVs and monitors with no issue)

    The only issue is plugging the Xbox into this TV.

    From a search it seems this issue has been known and ongoing since back about 10 years ago but can't see any resolution.

    Looking for a good HDTV

    Any LCD / LED 3D Samsung or Panasonic Viera TV's are the choice... The Size & how many HDMI ports you need, is up to you... I personally have a Panasonic Viera TV for the 360, because I have Technics [High-end Panasonic] Broadcasting Loudspeakers etc..

    I have a panasonic viera tv too. For me it did need hdmi 1.4a cable to display with the xbox.

    Tried a number of different cables which all work fine just not when that xbox is plugged into that tv. E.g they work when the xbox is plugged into a different tv.
