Xbox 360 account problem , changing password and avatar does nothing

changing avatar does nothing to your account just as changing your tag does nothing to your account

I have already made changes to my avatar on the Xbox one but it is still not letting me sign in on the Xbox 360 I have changed my password I have changed my avatar and still nothing. It is only with the Xbox 360 and my account. I can sign in just fine on the Xbox one just not the Xbox 360 and I can sign into other accounts on the Xbox 360 just not my account.

When signed into another account, does it allow access to both the Xbox original and Xbox 360 Avatar?

yes, another account on the same Xbox was able to load both the new Xbox One and old Xbox 360 avatars with no problem.

This may mean that there's a problem with the Xbox Live service or that your Xbox Live account is failing to properly authenticate.

Try this:

Make a change to your Avatar:

Note Any avatar change will do because the change causes the service to sync your account for your profile.

Launch the Xbox Avatar Editor app.

Sign in and make any change to your avatar.

Select Save.

Try to sign in on your Xbox 360 console or attempt to play your Xbox 360 backward compatible title again.

The xbox 360 does not accept passwords that are longer then 16 characters so if you password is longer then 16 characters then that is your problem and would need to change your password to something less then 16 characters.
