    Xbox 360 account online not working on my Xbox One console


    So I have a Xbox Gold account. The other day I was playing online on Xbox one with my friends no problems. When we switched over to backwards compatibility games (black ops 2) my account was not able to connect to Xbox live. It is the same account that use
    to play online on my Xbox One games. When I tried to sign in it said that I needed to renew my gold membership, but if that is the case then how am I able to play on Xbox one games online. I tried redownloading my profile and it did not work. I deleted any
    of the friends accounts on my Xbox and that did not work either.

    360 and One on same gold account

    If I sign in to Xbox Live on my Xbox One, will I also be able to sign in on the same account on my 360 at the same time? Say someone is using the Xbox One in the living room and I'm playing my 360 in my bedroom. Will I be able to use the same account?


    WHITTEN: Yes this works! You'll be able to be signed on with the same gamertag on both an Xbox 360 and an Xbox One console at the same time. However, like today, you can only be signed into one Xbox 360 and one Xbox One at a time

    If I start game download on xbox 360 for xbox one xbox one downloads the game but no xbox live? Plz need help rebooted xbox one rebooted my modem after reboot of xbox one it worked until I switched it of and on again same problem now again so xbox must get
    a solution to this because its not my equipment its something to do with xbox live.

    Family/Home Gold Account Complicated Question

    I'll try my best to clear up any cofusion and keep this post as short as I can

    How the 360 will work: Every account needs it's own subscription to play on any 360.

    How the One will work: Only the primary account on each console needs a subscription

    Some examples I came up with:

    Q: I have four accounts and one Xbox One how can I play online with all of my accounts?

    A:You'll only need one subscription on the primary account the other 3 can play on that console for free.

    Q: I have four accounts and two Xbox Ones how can I play online with all my accounts on both Xbox Ones?

    A: You'll need two subscriptions one for each primary account the other two will be able to play on both console for free.

    Xbox accounts work on all Xbox consoles and PC. There are no Xbox 360 or Xbox One only accounts.

    Your account will still have a downloadable 360 profile, even if you have never owned an Xbox 360 console.

    If you are using the accounts on the 360, then to play online you will need a Gold subscription for each account.

    On Xbox One you will only need one Gold account on that console for all accounts to be able to play online. However you can only have one console nominated for Home Gold per account. So if you have a second Xbox One, you'd need a second Gold account.

    -

    Home Gold is not an option on the Xbox 360.
