Does a XBox 1 controller work in the new XBox 1s.

Just wondering if the controller from a Xbox 1 will work on the new Xbox 1s..I got the 1 terabyte gears of war edition for my nephew for Christmas and the store where I got the 1s never had any extra controllers for it in stock.Hope his Xbox 1 controller, and
he's got 2, will work on the 1s so my 2 nephews can play together on it..Any info appreciated.

    What controller do you have?

I use a controller that came with my Xbox 1S and a separate Camo controller. The designs look so sleek!
