    Xbox 1 Rock Band compatibility


    My grandchildren have Xbox 1 and Rock Band drums with cymbals, and two guitars. One guitar has stopped working. Are replacement guitars available or do I need to buy a newer console. If I buy a newer console, will the remaining guitar and drum set be compatible?

    xBox360 controllers compatability with xBoxOne

    Microsoft confirmed just before the backward compatibility started that games that required peripherals such as Rock Band, Lips, DJ Hero, Guitar Hero would not be backward compatible as the peripherals were not compatible with the Xbox One.

    You can use the Xbox 360 wireless instruments on the Xbox One using the Rock Band 4 adapter, but only for Rock Band 4

    Rock band is not backwards compatible. Rock Band 4 is available for purchase for the One. The guitar from the 360 would not be compatible.

    It is not compatible with Rock Band 1.

    The game came out before Lips did and did not come with support for the Microphone since it was not available at the time and when it did come out, Harmonix was well into supporting Rock Band 2 and majority of the community moved on to it. So since making
    patches cost money and a lot of time, they opted out of wasting time for Rock Band 1 since the majority moved to Rock Band 2(which does support the mic.)

    II'm sorry but Rock Band instruments have been out of production for many years

    The new Xbox Series consoles are 100%compatible with the old instruments

    I believe there are some people doing repairs, so I would look at google and see.

    There may be new instruments in the future, but it is far from guaranteed
