    Xbox 1 Not Working

So the “expert chat” didnt get me anywhere. Here’s my problem. My console and controller turn on BUT nothing shows on my TV. My controller/console light (on and off button) turn on and just blink slowly on and off.
NO i dont have a BRICK so dont ask me what LED color my brick is because i dont have one! And i tried resetting my power source. This is the first time my xbox has done this even after all day use. If you mention
a brick i wont respond to you. I have the regular first to come out xbox 1 in white with a white controller. I just need a fix please dont waste my time.

    :)

Since you say you have no brick, and you mention you have the first model of that kind, you probably have the Xbox One S model (the "S"maller revision with internal power supply).

Since you don't tell us how your console is connected to the TV (for example are you using an AV-Receiver, or soundbar, or is the console directly connected to the TV), I can only give general troubleshooting steps. So please excuse me if my suggestions
    don't apply to your setup.

First of all, disconnect the HDMI cable from the console and plug it into a known working device with HDMI port (e.g. BluRay player, Laptop, Satellite/Cable TV Set Top Box), and check if the TV shows a picture with that device.

If it does, take the HDMI cable and make sure to plug it into the HDMI OUT Port of the console, not the HDMI IN Port.

Also try to connect the console directly to the TV if you use an AV-Receiver or other devices between console and TV. Also try the console on a different TV or monitor if possible.

If that doesn't improve the situation, eject and remove any disc from the console if necessary. Then hold the power button on the console for about 10 seconds.

Now hold down the Eject button and the Power button at the same time. As soon as you press the Power button, the console will chime.

Keep holding Eject and Power until the console chimes a second time.

Does the console show a video signal now? If so, the console is now in a low resolution rescue mode, and you need to go to the settings to set up the appropriate resolution for your TV again.

If that also didn't fix it, try holding the power button for 10 seconds again.

Now hold Eject and Bind buttons together, and press the power button.

Keep Eject and Bind held together while the console tries to boot into a rescue system.

Does the console show you a recovery screen after a while?

If both button combinations (Eject+Power and Eject+Bind during startup) didn't make a picture appear on your TV, and you checked with a known working device that the cable and TV are okay, it seems that your console is defective and needs to be repaired.

    In that case go to
    https://devicesupport.microsoft.com
and if not already done so, register your console.

Then click on your console and choose to do an online service request.

Choose the appropriate issue from the drop down menus, and follow the instructions on the page to create a service repair request for your console.

    Hello Agr3ssive,

The Xbox One S and Xbox One X have an internal power supply that works in all regions worldwide. If your console won't turn on, it may simply need a power reset. Often, power
issues are due to the power supply resetting after a power surge.
Have you tried to do the "Internal Power Reset"?

    1. Unplug the power cord from the console

    2. Wait 10 seconds

    3. Plug the cord back in and try to turn on the console.

Let me know if that helps!

It was a soft reset keeping games and apps. Won't doing a full reset delete his games or progress within his games? How will I know if there are corrupted game files? I'm sorry, I just don't understand.

Has he joined the Xbox Insider Preview program? If he has, this can cause issues with the console due to the OSU being a beta version.

You could try doing a factory reset.

Open the guide, go to settings, system, console info, reset console and reset keeping all games and apps. You will need to know the email address and password for his account.
