Suggesting a fix that work for someone else. Try going to your system settings and clearing the local saved games cache. Clear the MAC address again and then power cycle....unplug the Xbox power cord and leave it unplugged for a couple of minutes. Turn
off other devices, unplug your router/network and reset. Turn everything back on and restart. It's worth a try.

I've seen a troubleshooting step that helps with this situation and I'm hoping that's the same for you. Go into your Settings>Network>Network settings>Advanced settings>Alternate MAC address>Clear and allow your Xbox to restart.

I connected my Xbox to wifi via a wired ethernet, however my airport was just moved to a different location so that option isnt an option anymore. I was able to download the update, however i still cannot connect to the internet. Im experiencing the same
problems as before, and still nothing works.
