    Hi just wondering if anyone knows why my messages wont load on my phone app on my main profile, i have a secondary profile but messages load and send fine on that, i hsve checked if it needs updating and uninstalled it and reinstalled it, been like it
    for a week now

    Check the app's message and alert settings, you may have something wrong with the setting.

    Here are the steps as recommended by Microsoft

    1. Sign in at
      account.live.com/reputationcheck      .
    2. Add your phone number, then select Send code.
    3. Get the code from the text message sent to your phone, enter it on the webpage, and select
      Submit.
    4. If you’re using your Xbox, press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to turn it off, then turn it on and sign back in. If you’re on a PC or mobile device, sign out of the Xbox app, then sign back in.
    5. Try sending your message again.

    Installed the xboc app. It works now.

    But why is xbox required ? Not stated anywhere snd I dont really want xbox !

    They are actually bringing alot of games for backward compat. on xboc 1. Im sure they are trying to bring back much as they can.
